L'eliminazione dell'ICI mi aveva già dato allora materiale a cui pensare, perché, nonostante i cittadini siano tartassati da tributi di ogni genere:
1) Prodi aveva già tagliato l'ICI per i ceti meno benestanti (60%), riguardando il taglio del governo solo quel 40% più abbiente a cui la tassa comunale non era ancora stata tolta;
2) il taglio ICI significava (fonte: Il Sole 24 Ore) circa 2 miliardi di euro di mancati introiti per lo Stato ( chi paga ora? )
3) l'ICI era un'imposta che veniva incassata direttamente dai Comuni e quindi impiegata in loco, pertanto era la più federale delle taxes.
